چکیده

Pengembangan varietas medium dilakukan, salah satunya induksi mutasi. Induksi mutasi dilakukan perlakuan mutagen tertentu terhadap bagian organ reproduksi. Iradiasi sinar gamma sering digunakan menginduksi perubahan genetik dalam sel somatik diturunkan, terjadi peningkatan viabilitas mutan baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh radiasi berbagai variabel kualitatif 3 (tiga) Perlakuan memberikan berbeda kontrol pada bentuk daun, frekuensi daun menyimpang, kebiasaan tumbuh, umbi, sifat ketahanan penyakit. Mutan keunggulan segi penyakit adalah D1-A11, D2- A11, D2-A4, D1-G1, D1-G2, D3-G11, D3-G12, D2-M11.Kata kunci : kualitatif, kentang, iradiasi gamma,

Respiration rate of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L

This work investigated the effects of soft rot (Erwinia carotovora) on respiration rate of potatoes stored at three storage temperatures (5, 10, and 15 C) covering temperature ranges commonly encountered in storage. Five treatments were evaluated: healthy (H), healthy with holes (HW), inoculation with no incubation (I0), inoculation with 24 hr incubation (I1), and inoculated with 48 hr incubati...

In vitro microtuberization in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars.

Mechanism of microtuberization in three elite cultivars kufri badhsha (KB), kufri chandramukhi (KCM) and kufri jawahar (KJ) of potato was studied. Sprouts of all the three cultivars were used to obtain in vitro shoot cultures. MS medium supplemented with chlorocholine chloride was found to be most suitable for all the cultivars. Maximum tuberization was obtained under incubation conditions of c...

Sensory Evaluation of Pigmented Flesh Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.)

Pigmented potato cultivars were ranked by a consumer panel for overall acceptance, and acceptance of aroma, appearance, and flavor. Potatoes were analyzed for total phenolics, anthocyanins and carotenoids. Concentrations of total phenolics in yellow and purple potato cultivars were 2-fold greater (P < 0.001) than in the white cultivar. Anthocyanins were low to non-detectable in white and yellow...
